Become a Leader in Sustainable Education

Workshops & Training · Benchmarking · Strategy · Support

Ripple Effect supports schools that aspire to lead — accelerating regenerative whole-school sustainability across governance, curriculum, culture and campus.

Many schools are doing good work to help build a better future. But few have a clear, whole-school strategy — and many hit predictable roadblocks:

  • Limited capacity for strategic coordination

  • Sustainability isn’t embedded in strategic planning

  • Leadership and staff enthusiasm varies

  • There’s no clear roadmap beyond the next initiative

  • Efforts lack a cohesive, school-wide framework

The result? A lot of energy — but not enough traction.

Whole-school sustainability thrives on student and staff agency — but it succeeds when leadership sets clear direction, priorities and accountability.

That’s where acceleration happens.

Ripple Effect helps you ignite momentum — and then turn that momentum into traction, accelerating whole-school sustainability with clarity, structure and direction.

Sustainability Ignition Workshop
Spark alignment. Clarify your direction. Get moving.

A focused 2–3 hour exploration and strategic intensive for school leaders and key staff

  • Designed for principals, executive teams, facilities leaders, curriculum heads and student representatives, the Ignition Workshop brings key voices together to step back, think bigger and align around a shared direction.

  • The session blends insight, reflection and facilitated dialogue — beginning with a clear framing of why sustainability matters now, and what it demands of schools in a rapidly changing world.

  • From there, participants explore what thriving, future-ready learning looks like in their context, examine how leading schools are responding, and articulate an aspirational vision for their own community.

  • Through guided activities and structured discussion, we move from possibility to practicality — identifying what is already working, where opportunity lies, and what would need to shift to make that vision real.

  • “Her guidance has been instrumental in helping us move forward with purpose and confidence. We left the session feeling motivated, informed, and ready to act… with both the vision and the tools to make sustainability a living, breathing part of our school culture.” "

    — Melissa Meyers, Head of School, Wellington College International, Tianjin

  • “Over more than four years running the Green Schools Alliance’s sustainability benchmarking program, Kelly has helped our schools demystify sustainability and move it beyond one person’s passion project into a coherent, whole-system approach. By working closely with each school to understand their unique context and engaging leaders, educators, and students alike, Kelly helps lay practical, actionable foundations for lasting impact.”

—Arlae Castellanos, Executive Director, The Green Schools Alliance, New York

The Sustainability Accelerator

Exploration & Alignment Workshops

  • Facilitated sessions with leadership and key staff

  • Strengthening strategic alignment and deepening leadership literacy in sustainability risks and opportunities.

Schools are incubators for their communities.

What kind of school do you want to be?

How can we educate and empower today’s students to thrive in a changing world? What can we do now to protect and regenerate the planet they will inherit? How can our school become part of the transition to a sustainable, equitable and climate-resilient future?
